Reclaimed Bargate Stone | Reclaimed Walling Stone
UK buyers and sellers of reclaimed and dressed Bargate walling stone
Bargate Stone is a hard, yellow/honey coloured sandstone, usually found in South West Surrey. It occurs in a number of Surrey villages such as Compton, as well as towns such as Guildford, and was used by Edwin Lutyens on some of his best domestic work. It often used for rubble work, sometimes squared but largely with a rubble face.
Reclaimed Bargate stone is a highly sought after building material throughout Sussex and Surrey due to its impressive durability and ability to integrate with existing Bargate stone walls.
We have over 500 tons of dressed (whiteish) reclaimed Bargate walling stone at our reclamation yard in Henfield, West Sussex so feel free to pop-in and take a look.
